it feels like fall today. its really cold, the crunchy leaves are covering the ground, and pumpkins are everywhere. i love this time of year. we are really looking forward to the holidays and being home with our families. i knew holidays would be different for us this year, but i am only now realizing how different they will be. i won't be able to bake pumpkin pies in my own kitchen for thanksgiving...we won't be able to do our little christmas-y things in our home...like listening to christmas music while we decorate our own little tree, while drinking hot chocolate.
i know these things don't really matter. we will enjoy being with family...and being together. i am so thankful for that.
we had a mundane week. school is getting busy for john. he is mid-semester already. time is going by so quickly! john porter will be one this month! he is getting to be so big...and so fun...
So you will be able to come home for the holidays? That's great! And soon you'll be in your own more permanent home again and able to do all the holiday-ish stuff again. Your little guy is really growing! So sweet. I've been reading your blog here and there but haven't really commented much. Just want to let you know I'm enjoying hearing how you are doing.
