saint louis!

i had a really great weekend with my old roomies... it was so cool to be in st. louis.  its a really cool city.  we did a bunch of fun things, but the best by far was going to the city museum...it was unlike any museum i have ever seen.  we spent hours crawling through tunnels, sliding down slides (one that was 10 stories high!), navigating through caverns in the dark, and swinging on ropes.  it was amazing.
i was so excited to see the arch!  this was the best photo i could get while driving
inside the city museum

this is a shot of the outdoor area, taken from the rooftop. (notice the ball pits!)
inside the bus, which hangs over the edge of the 10th story!
crawling up the steep tunnel on top of the roof
there are tunnels all through this whale, we exited under the mouth in that shadowy area!
the tree house area...so cool
a circus...yes, this place even has a circus inside it!
there is even educational sciency stuff at the city museum!
this slide was actually really scary
outside play area..pretty much everything you see could be climbed in or on.

as you can see this place was crazy...i actually can't believe its real!  if you ever go to st. louis, this is must see.

on sunday we went to see bridget's studio.  of course is was amazing.  it was fun to see some of her current projects.  she is almost done getting her masters!  so proud of her.

  1. Looks like such fun, and with friends! Glad you had an amazing time. :)
I never heard of that place. When we were there we just went in the arch and to the zoo, which were both cool.

  3. Wow! That is the coolest museum! .... almost think it should be called something else so that people know how fun and interactive it is! Can't wait to go there some day, maybe when we come visit you!

  5. I'm so glad you could get away and have such a good time. How did the "boys" do at home without you? And, wow...I am old; that "museum" looks like the scariest thing ever to me! I don't like heights and I'm claustrophobic but it does look like the most amazing place. I'd never heard of it before.

    1. haha...if you are claustrophobic it you would hate it. and yes, the "the boys" made it through the weekend! : ) i think john actually enjoyed having time alone with porter at home...it didn't go so smoothly with the bottle (or the pumping) but we all survived. it was worth it to do something like that!
